I have the also but it is my back up and I find that the V makes sharper scans. A friend of mine archived 50 years worth of family photos using a Coolscan with a feeder. May I suggest Nikon, Noritsu, Epson: The has superior optics. The limiting b700/v750 for the scanner lies elsewhere.
Like I figure I made the best choice I could and stuck with it and played around over and over until I got it right. And although I ‘cringe’ to write this, it has ‘rocked’ for me since I started making pictures with my Dad’s Kodak in the early ‘s.

Note that the larger the film, the smaller the enlargement factor needed to make a print of a certain size.
Even with 35mm trannies. I’m not saying that scanning is the only way one can share their photographic work, but it’s a critical part of sharing or printing your work digitally. All Epson software is checked for viruses and potential errors.

Epson’s film holders are rubbish, so I imagine a V with upgraded, aftermarket film holders will outperform a stock V with Epson’s OE holders. Also, I don’t own an enlarger, so making good quality scans critical to getting decent prints. I have been watching this and you can see the price is already out of my league and Reserve is not yet met. Did you find this article helpful Yes No Thanks for leaving feedback.
