I know the 3. Still, it works pretty well if you want to record say, a football game, or the latest broadcast of the prairie home companion. This might not seem like a big deal to some, but it’s one more feature that’s a pretty significant addition. The article talks about the tv display “docking” when you try to move it to the secondary monitor, but the article goes on to discuss what happens when the tv display spans two monitors and that it shows only on the monitor that has the largest part of the tv display window. The 50MHz memory clock increase seems to be the result of time that ATI has taken to go over and tweak out the remaining juice, something that wasn’t originally planned. Although it’s really just a continuation of the evolution of the All-in-Wonder series, the new features of the All-in-Wonder Pro are pretty significant.

The tuner still maintains its TV functionality, but now adds FM tuner support for stations between the ranges of Multimedia Refresh by Andrew Ku on October 16, I know the 3. Setup of the card is about as involved as installing the AiW Pro was, with the obvious added step of having to attach the output cables for the monitor output.
Depending on how many channels you have available the preview images will vary in size and number presented on the screen, and from here you can obviously jump to whatever channel is on the display.
ATi has gone an extra mile with the AiW Pro and added more functionality to the card than in any All-in-Wonder to come before it. In addition to all of the goodies introduced with the All-in-Wonder Pro, the updated version of Multimedia Center now version 8.
The All-in-Wonder Pro and Pro are the only All-in-Wonder cards that will be equipped with in-box component adapters. Its functionality is much like the TV tuner app that many are already familiar with – you can program station settings, schedule recordings all saved in a high-quality MP3 format and use timeshifting as well, so lro to jump back a few minutes in case you missed something.
Those tests show that there is a definite performance advantage over the Pro, and it is almost even with the XT. Post Your Comment Please log in or sign up to comment. So, when I heard that there was to be a version of the All-in-Wonder using ATi’s ‘mainstream’ graphics chip, the AiaI expected pretty much pr same. When you select this option, a window appears and the tuner flips through your available channels, taking a still image of each channel and presenting it in this preview window.
This isn’t a huge jump, but it does address something I mentioned ai the XT review, and that is: In place of the copy of Morrowind that was included with the AiW Pro, however, you’ll find a coupon good for one free copy of Half-Life 2 that can be redeemed once the game is actually released. The software bundle is about the same as with the AiW Pro.

No, your eyes do not deceive you: You might have noticed from the picture that there isn’t an actual monitor output on the board.
The All-in-Wonder Pro uses a new video out interface that is secured via screws, which we preferred over the clip method that we saw on the first batch of Personal Cinema 2 cards. This might not seem like a big deal to some, but it’s one more feature that’s a pretty significant addition.
Aside from some minor software changes, I’m really referring to two huge additions: There is actually a small difference in clock speeds on this card, but fear not: How about even more features? The result is performance that will run between the Radeon Pro and the Radeon XTthough definitely leaning toward the former than the latter. The first thing I think you’ll notice here in regards to performance is that with a mere 25MHz increase to the memory there’s a definite performance improvement.
Recently, the clock speeds for AIW cards have been able to keep up with the clock speeds of graphics-only cards.

Yes, that’s right, the All-in-Wonder Pro supports two monitors. So let’s move on to the new features. Although it’s really just a continuation of the evolution of the All-in-Wonder series, the new features of the All-in-Wonder Pro are pretty significant.
There are just too many features onboard to pass this up. Rpo was I ever wrong. The outputs are all provided via this adapter cable that 96000 into two VGA outputs, composite and s-video outputs, and audio output cables used to get audio passed through the All-in-Wonder to your sound card. You get a copy of Pinnacle Studio 8, the usual install disc, and a game.
No other driver settings were changed and awi video cards were prp during the writing of this review. What could be a significant change for the product line that already has almost everything?
With Unreal Tournamentthough, we see that in situations where the card is being held back by memory bandwidth and not the core speed of the VPU this minor increase in speed can make a big difference in performance – the 25MHz in memory speed achieving nearly the same boost in performance for the AiW as the MHz core speed increase brought about in the XT.
I suppose this is balanced out by the fact that no internal power connection is needed, but with the input breakout box and output cables there’s a lot of stuff rpo around the back of your system.
